Modeling Texturing Rigging
Character and Facial Weight Painting for Bushitoad film
Using ngSkinTools I weight painted the body and face of the character. The film includes fighting scenes and a lot of action, so I worked on the flexibility of the hips and shoulder areas to allow the character to sit, jump, and use his sword.
With the help of our awesome riggers, additional controls were added to the belly, armor, and skirt to allow the character to bend and walk easier for animators.
This character has just a few main facial expressions throughout the film. Taking into account the stylized aiToon shader added extra weights to certain parts of the face, so that the expressions could be exaggerated enough to be visible when rendering,

Character UV for Bushitoad film
In a small team with just a few technical artists its important to pick up tasks that can speed up the preproduction phase.
As soon as our character was modeled I UVed it and send the file back to the riggers and texture artists.

Getting in Your Head
Satisfying looped 3D videos are popular on the internet. I tried myself in creating one themed to the idea of the fear of missing out and bing stuck in your own thoughts
Wet Pavement Shader
I studied the displacement maps created with the noise and IOR values to create the puddles.
Character Modeling
This was my first experience of creating a character from beginning to end. I modeled, textured, and rigged it based on a puppy from Hotel Transylvania.
